The magical black sand beach serves as a dramatic backdrop to village life. Witness the most breathtaking sunrises as the day begins with rays illuminating the ocean horizon. A favourite with internationally titled surfers, the beach is also frequented by locals collecting the dazzling stones and shells that wash up on shore.

Cucukan is located on the east side of Bali, north of Keramas. It is not crowded because it is far from Sanur, and it is good to go there when Keramas is crowded. Cucukan has become popular as a good wave recently. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Kuta by bike, and it is not a good road from the Bypass to the beach. There are 3 peaks, the right break in front of the warung, and left side of the warung, and the right break on the right side. Normally, a long ride is possible during the right break. There is a left break, but it is a short ride. It tends to be in good condition when it is going to high tide. The bottom is a reef and shallow when it's low tide. It is recommended to wear reef boots.

Cucukan Beach is starting to be visited by tourists, especially those who have a surfing hobby. Visitors spend their time on the beach, sitting back and waiting for the high waves. Once the waves start to get high and good, surfers start to prepare their surfboards to surf. Usually, they come with a self-drive car rental because they bring several surfboards. Surfboards are put in the car for safety while driving. They choose to rent a van such as Suzuki APV and the like. There are some visitors who come with a car rental with a driver. The driver patiently waits for the activities of visitors who enjoy the beauty of Cucukan Beach. There are also visitors who come by riding a motorbike that has a handle to hang the surfboard.
