Sanur Beach is Crowded with Visitors on Weekends

Sanur Beach is one option to relieve fatigue. There are many reasons why Denpasar city residents choose Sanur Beach. There are many interesting places to visit in Bali Island such as Kuta Beach, Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Jimbaran, and others. Denpasar residents choose Sanur Beach as a weekend recreation area for the following reasons:
- The location of Sanur Beach is close to Denpasar City, approximately 10 km to the east.

Sanur Beach is one of the tourist attractions in Bali which is located in the southern part of Bali Island, including the Denpasar Municipality area. Sanur Beach has a fairly long coastline of approximately 10 km, from the north side of Sanur Harbor to Mertasari Beach in the south. The beach faces west and then turns north at Mertasari Beach.
Sanur was the first tourist area developed in Bali during the reign of the first President of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno, with the start of building a five-star hotel, Bali Beach Hotel, which had 10 floors and was the most luxurious hotel at that time. Now Sanur has developed into one of the main tourist areas on the island of Bali where tourists from various parts of the world live and enjoy the beauty of Sanur. Many hotels, villas, restaurants, cafes, and art shops were built to support tourism needs.
An international standard hospital is being built in the Bali Beach Hotel Area. Not far from this location, a large shopping center is being built Icon Bali, which is planned to open from June 2024. In the distance to the east, you can clearly see Nusa Penida Island which can be reached in just 1 hour by fast boat departing from Sanur Harbor.
- Enjoying the Sunrise Many tourists come to Sanur Beach in the morning to enjoy the view of the sunrise. Capturing the beauty of Sanur Beach at sunrise is the moment that photographers have been waiting for. Several bridal couples had a pre-wedding photo session at sunrise on Sanur Beach. When the weather is clear, the majestic view of Mount Agung, which is the highest mountain in Bali, can be seen to the northeast.
- Riding a bicycle Riding a bicycle along Sanur Beach is an exciting experience. If you don't bring a bicycle, several places rent bicycles. The recommended cycling route is along the coastline from the north, namely Matahari Terbit Beach which is located near Sanur Harbor to Mertasari Beach in the southern part of Sanur Village and back via the asphalt road via Jalan Danau Tamblingan. Cycling approximately 20 km is enough to provide an exciting experience to explore Sanur with various interesting views.
